At five years old, I was casually introduced to the ASL alphabet. This early introduction set the stage for what would become a lifelong dedication. Today, my initial curiosity has grown into a deep passion: I’m an interpreter, educator, and fervent advocate for the Deaf community. Although I once considered dentistry as a profession, I was undeniably drawn back to ASL and the inspiring Deaf community. My dedication inspired me to earn Associate degrees in ASL/English Interpretation and Deaf Studies, a Bachelor’s from Gallaudet University, and a Master’s in Psychology—all with a focus on inclusion and communication access for the Deaf. In 2015, I broadened my impact, teaching ASL on YouTube. Additionally, my travels have empowered me to advocate for and spread the love of sign language to deaf children in less privileged parts of the world.
